Business Analytik – Insurance

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work on a transformational project for a global leading insurer, who will take ownership of business and functional analysis – from as-is processes and requirements through to use cases, acceptance criteria and the gap and cost-benefit analysis behind the decisions.

• You will analyse business processes across the Retail, SMB and Claims domains and document as-is solutions for our client's operating entities across the world.
• You will gather, analyse and detail functional requirements and procedures of medium to high complexity.
• You will translate business needs into use cases, user stories, design documents and clear acceptance criteria.
• You will perform gap analyses between business requirements and the IT implementation of both standard software and customer-specific applications.
• You will prepare cost-benefit analyses of proposed changes and support prioritisation decisions.
• You will analyse problems in existing systems and propose remedies that genuinely improve them.
• You will model processes in BPMN and work with logical data models and application architecture to understand the impact of every change.
• You will define acceptance scenarios and test cases and support testing through to sign-off.
• You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers and testers across several countries and markets.
• You will be actively using modern AI tools in your day-to-day work.
• You will challenge existing processes, solutions and documentation and help raise analysis standards across the programme.

We are looking for someone who can find their way around a complex global environment, with multiple stakeholders and globally distributed delivery teams. Someone who can get to grips with a complex requirement, ask the right questions and connect business needs with what IT can realistically deliver.

Mandatory requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable analytical role, with sound insurance industry knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Retail and Claims processes.
• The ability to document and elaborate as-is solutions as well as business and functional requirements of medium to high complexity.
• Experience writing use cases, user stories, design documents and acceptance test cases.
• Experience performing gap and cost-benefit analyses of business requirements against existing implementations.
• Experience with process analysis and modelling in BPMN.
• The ability to comprehend logical data models and their impact on the application and the application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA (epics, stories) and Confluence.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, especially Claude: a minimum of 30 hours of real project usage (not chatting), plus one complete deliverable you can walk us through – a script, automated workflow, document pipeline or integration – including how you handled the problems you ran into.
• Solid AI competency: framing tasks and prompting (examples, step-by-step reasoning), working with Claude.ai, the CLI and the API (running tasks and maintaining or correcting them), disciplined context and memory management, an understanding of how hooks, subagents and MCP servers work and how plan mode differs from execution mode, understanding of model differences, and the ability to recognise hallucinations and knowledge-cut-off limits.
• A proven engagement history and at least one personal project where you utilized AI you can present during the interview.
• English at C1 level as a minimum.

• English at C2 level.
• Previous experience working with for a large international insurance group, ideally within the client’s own technology organisation.
• Experience with ArchiMate.
• Knowledge of AWS and familiarity with modern cloud application environments.
• Familiarity with GitHub-based ways of working.
• Experience across more than one of the Retail, SMB and Claims domains.
• Experience of globally distributed, multi-market delivery and of scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe.
• Deeper AI delivery experience – automated workflows, subagents, MCP servers or document pipelines built with Claude.
