Project Manager

We are looking for someone who understands that project management is not just about reporting—it is primarily about delivering successful projects to clients. Someone who will help us manage projects focused on developing systems and applications for ŠKODA AUTO customers, whether they are making purchasing decisions or using their vehicles.

For example, you could work on in-car infotainment applications, applications controlling production lines, or systems visualizing the status of manufacturing processes. You could also help develop applications that warn drivers about the danger of driving in the wrong direction. In our team, you will never be bored because every project is different. • Manage software projects: Lead project teams from initiation to successful delivery. We primarily work using agile principles (SAFe), but you'll also encounter traditional Waterfall projects.
• Daily execution in Jira: Break projects down into tasks, manage backlogs, plan sprints, and monitor their execution.
• Finance and planning: Prepare time estimates and gain an understanding of project financial management, including the differences between Time & Material and Fixed Time/Fixed Price models.
• Communication and relationships: Stay in close contact with customers, maintain strong relationships, and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge, and continuously learn on the job.

• Languages for everyday work: Communicative German is essential for this role. English is also required—we don't expect a native speaker, but you should be comfortable using it in day-to-day IT communication and documentation.
• Real-world Agile experience: We expect practical experience with agile methodologies. You don't need to be a certified Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer—we're looking for someone who understands Agile and SAFe principles and knows how to apply them naturally in software development.
• Common sense and flexibility: We are not looking for a superhero. We are looking for a capable Junior or Mid-level Project Manager who can adapt to change and understands that project management is ultimately about successfully delivering projects.
• Tools: Practical experience with Jira.
• Responsibility: Willingness to take ownership of your team, work independently, and know when to ask for help.
