We are looking for Java Developers, from mid-level developers to experienced experts, who want to work on key projects in banking and payment services and use AI as a normal part of solution design, development, and automation.
What you will work on
You will be part of teams working on topics such as:
- modernization of payment systems and payment hubs
- Open Banking and API platforms
- digital client onboarding
- internet and mobile banking
- migration from monolithic systems to microservice architecture
- integration platforms and event-driven solutions
- process automation using AI and data services
The exact scope will depend on your experience, preferences, and current projects.

Job description
- Backend development in Java.
- Designing technical solutions together with analysts and architects.
- Creating and improving REST APIs and integration services.
- Working with modern architectures based on microservices and events.
- Code reviews and sharing know-how within the team.
- Helping design CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation.
- Using AI tools to speed up development, documentation, analysis, and testing.
- Communication with the client and active involvement in solution design.
Technologies you will most often work with:
- Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST API
- Kafka
- PostgreSQL / Oracle
- Docker, Kubernetes
- GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, OpenShift
- Azure or AWS
- Elastic, Redis
- AI tools for development and knowledge management
The tech stack differs from project to project. We are looking more for a capable developer than for someone who matches every single point.
Required qualifications
- at least 3 years of experience with commercial Java development
- experience with Spring Boot
- knowledge of SQL databases
- experience with API design
- ability to solve common development tasks independently
- Czech or Slovak language
- English for working with documentation and team communication
We will also appreciate:
- experience with solution architecture design
- knowledge of integration patterns
- experience with event-driven architecture
- leading technical discussions
- mentoring less experienced colleagues
- experience from banking, payments, or fintech
AI as part of everyday work
We do not see AI as just a buzzword.
We expect that you:
- can use AI assistants effectively during development
- use AI when analysing requirements and designing solutions
- look for ways to automate routine tasks
- are interested in new ways of using AI in banking and software engineering
You do not need to be an AI expert. What matters is openness to new ways of working.
