Solution Architect - banking projects

Currently we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect for technology projects in banking.

You will design different banking systems, for example in payments, cards, investments and other banking products. This also includes integrations, APIs, data flows, connections to internal and external systems, operational stability, security and performance.

We are not looking for someone who only draws a diagram and sends it on. We are looking for someone who understands technology, can talk to developers, analysts and the clients, and can explain a technical solution in a clear and understandable way.

It will help us a lot if you have a background in Java development, know Kafka or another event-streaming tool, have experience with cloud, and are interested in how AI can be used in practice in the work of an architect, analyst or development team.

Experience from the banking environment is required.

• Design the architecture of different banking solutions and systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical design.
• Design integrations, APIs, data flows and system connections.
• Assess the impact of changes on the existing architecture.
• Work with Java developers, analysts, testers, the project team and the client.
• Be part of the presales process and lead technical discussions and workshops.
• Help the team choose between different solution options.
• Make sure the design is realistic from the point of view of operations, security, performance and scalability.
• Work with technologies such as Java, Kafka, APIs, microservices, cloud services and integration platforms.
• Look for practical ways where AI can help with design, analysis, documentation or delivery.

• Experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, Technical Architect or Lead Developer.
• Experience from the banking environment.
• Technical background in Java.
• Experience with designing integration solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka or a similar event-streaming technology.
• Ability to design solutions for larger distributed systems.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to both business and development teams.
• Czech or Slovak at a working level.
• English at least at the level needed for technical documentation and communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Overview of microservices architecture.
• Experience with API management.
• Knowledge of security principles in banking.
• Experience with DevOps principles.
• Interest in using AI tools in daily work and thinking about where they can really help.
