Senior DevOps-OpenShift EngineerSA Operation
Job description
Trask is a Czech technology consulting company with more than 30 years of history. We help companies design, build, and operate critical IT solutions that must work today and in 10 years’ time.
At Trask, we build and operate enterprise platforms on which critical systems of Czech and international companies run – banking, telecom, energy, logistics.
Our DevOps & Platform teams are not “deployment support”. We design platforms as a product: from architecture, through automated provisioning, to long-term operation, performance, and security.
We work with OpenShift as the standard for enterprise Kubernetes and consider GitOps the default, not a buzzword.

Job description
Role Mission
Your goal is to design, build, and continuously develop OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms that:
- are fully automated (IaC, GitOps),
- scale in enterprise environments,
- meet high requirements for security, availability, and performance,
- and make sense both technically and business-wise.
You will not just “manage a cluster”. You will help determine what an enterprise platform should look like.
What It’s About
- Real technical impact – no PoCs left in a drawer.
- OpenShift as a core technology, not a peripheral skill.
- Projects where it makes sense to address HA, security, performance, and automation.
- Significant room for technical decision-making.
- Long-term cooperation with customers, not constant handovers.
What You Will Do
- Design, install, and operate OpenShift / OKD clusters (on-prem and cloud).
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible / AWX.
- Build and develop CI/CD pipelines and the GitOps model (ArgoCD).
- Optimize cluster performance (nodes, storage, networking).
- Handle platform upgrades and migrations (OpenShift versions, Azure / VMware).
- Collaborate with architects, security, and application teams.
Required qualifications
- Min. 7 years in IT infrastructure / DevOps.
- Min. 4 years with Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP, OKD, AKS, RKE2).
- Containers & Orchestrators: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Helm, Harbor, Operator SDK, podman.
- DevOps & Automation: ArgoCD, Ansible / AWX, Git, GitHub, GitLab CI/CD, IaC.
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus (including Pushgateway), Grafana, ELK.
- Security & Identity: Red Hat IDM, Keycloak, HashiCorp Vault, Kerberos / LDAP.
- OS & Scripting: RHEL / CentOS / Oracle Linux, Bash, basics of Go, PowerShell / PowerCLI.
- Kubernetes Programming: CRDs, Operators, custom platform extensions.
What are we offering
- Working Hours Tailored to You: Flexible working hours according to individual needs.
- Vacation and Time Off: Guaranteed 5 weeks of vacation and 3 sick days.
- Flexible Working Environment: Possibility to work from home, company offices, or directly at the client’s site.
- Education: Training, conference participation, e-learning programs, and language courses.
- Refreshments at the Workplace: A varied selection including cookies, fruit, coffee, and hot chocolate.
- Mobile Communication Without Worries: 50 GB of mobile data + unlimited calls paid by the company. Discounted O2 Family plans for family members.
- Benefits of Your Choice: MultiSport card, pension contribution, discounts (Alza, pharmacies, tickets, and other experiences).
